Hello
I'm a 26 Cdn female with a degree in Economics from the Univesity of Toronto. I have two years experience as a Financial Analyst at a international IT company. However, my GMAT scores are not as good as they can be, (below 600) and GPA is around 3.0.
I know I have slim to none chances at the top schools, I'm looking at schools like Thunderbird. Do you have any other recommendations of lower Tier 1 schools in the US, or in Canada that I should apply for?
Please help... Thanks!!
kami47,
Sorry for the late reply, I've been on the road. Aiming for tier one schools is difficult with your GMAT score. I would encourage you to take a prep course like Kaplan, if you haven't already, and bring it up. Even 40 more points would make a big difference in the schools you could target.
With your current score, you could aim for Michigan State, Washington U. in St. Louis, South Carolina (Moore--top-ranked for international business), Pittsburgh (Katz), Vanderbilt, Babson, Rice, and Case Western Reserve (Weatherhead). All of these are respectable programs.
Good luck!
