Hello Experts!
I wrote my GRE not long ago. I was targeting in the range of 320 but did not do too good. I want to understand what my chances are to get in my target schools with the following profile. I would appreciate any help!
Profile Evaluation for Full time MBA 2022 Intake-
Female , Indian, Age - 32
GRE - 305 - Preparing for my GMAT - Target 680+
Undergrad: Bachelor of Engineering , Computer Science -
Work Experience: Total 11 years experience
Systems Administration - IBM - 5.5 years - got promoted once. (Salary - USD 141,000)
Past Roles –
Senior Developer for WorldBank and Technical consultant for HP
Extra Curriculars -
Extra-Curricular
Fundraiser and Project coordinator an NGO - society for the welfare of all things (S.W.A.T) from 2010
Indian Classical musician and a tutor
Amateur Ornithologists - Organised Bird spotting and documenting in various locations across India,
Organised Indoor and Outdoor team events for team building and as icebreakers
Why MBA?
MY managerial and leadership experience has been through real-time scenarios, I want to utilize the MBA education as an investment in myself and understand the basics, and gain skills in accounting, strategy, and marketing.
Short Term Goal: To become a product manager in a digital environment
Long Term Goal: Global Leadership goals
In the long term, I foresee myself in the Director of Product and Vice President positions. I’d like to lead the business development of a firm by formulating winning business strategies and expanding the global outreach of the company.
Target schools – Stanford/ UCLA/ Kellogg /Tuck
What are areas of improvement?
How can I write a better convincing story ?
What are my safe colleges?
Would colleges even consider my profile given my experience and age factor?

Your GRE score needs a major boost. You probably could benefit from another extracurricular activity or more achievements in those already on your list.

For starters, you can hire an admissions consultant
In general, you have to think about leveraging what you have experienced so far in your career, how an MBA can get you to the next level, and what you believe you can achieve in the short- and long-term post-MBA. You have some of the pieces already in place.
Q: What are my safe colleges?
UCLA Anderson might be a "target" option. You have to drop your list significantly. I would look at schools like CMU Tepper, Cornell Johnson, Emory Goizueta, and Georgetown McDonough. Those seem more in your range.
Q: Would colleges even consider my profile given my experience and age factor?
Yes, but it will be very difficult. You are not disqualified on the basis of age but you have an uphill battle given your age and competitive demographic. You are actually closer to the part-time / executive MBA programs. The problem is that you are on the younger side for those programs. Unfortunately, you are sort of in this middle ground.
