Hi!
I recently finished the GMAT, and I'm looking for any help or advice you might be able to provide! I scored a 46Q/37V/680 total. I have no doubt I could break into the 700's if I take another month or two to prepare, but due to time constraints with work I need to start applying for the Spring/Summer programs (not to mention I have to drive four hours each way to get to the testing facility). Any help you can provide is much appreciated!
1) Naval Officer/Lieutenant. Primary specialization is Naval Aviation as a Patrol Plane Commander in the P-3C/P-8A, currently serving as a Liaison Officer at an interagency task force.
2) 46Q/37V/680
3) University of Notre Dame 2008, 2.72 in Finance. GPA is a bit lower as I was somewhat undisciplined/unmotivated at the time.
4) Multiple roles including Ground Safety Officer (leading ~six people), Air Frames Branch Officer (leading ~25 mechanics), Assistant Admin Officer (leading ~15 YN's and PS's), and Tactics Division Officer (leading ~15 Tactics personnel).
5) Nothing relevant to business school. Commercial Flight Certificate, Single and Multi-engine Flight Certificates, Instrument Flight Rating.
6) Top four are Duke University, Indiana University, University of North Carolina, University of Maryland. Specifically targeting distance/online programs.
7) Fall 2014 application cycle for Spring/Summer 2015 matriculation cycles.
8) Keeping my options open. I need an MBA to be competitive for promotion to Lieutenant Commander, but also looking to make the transition to the private sector in a few years, possibly a management or a CFO type of route.
