Well - the GMAC just revised its policies and you can now take it within 16 days (not 31) and score cancellations won't show up on your official score report - so that's a plus! It's just that with a 710, you're going to be fighting an uphill battle at many, if not all, of those programs.

Appreciate the feedback. So I will revise my questions.
1. If I decide to take GMAT again, what should my target score be? I understand that higher is better however, how much improvement should I be looking for at the minimum?
2. How would you evaluate my chances to these programs with my current score and with the target score mentioned in (1), assuming I can achieve that score?
3. Which other programs should I consider given my background and post-MBA goals?

Thanks!

Sure thing -

1) Higher than the median to start with - the higher the better though!
2) At the moment, you're stretching with a 710. If you move north of a 730, your odds become noticeably better but many of those programs still won't move into "aligned" territory just given where you come from and what you do. You're not exactly a unique applicant, you know?
3) If your goal is M/B/B then you have to stay top 15 otherwise those firms simply won't recruit. When it comes to consulting, it's about a) where do these firms hire and b) where will they hire ME > so think about that too!

Does that help?
