Hi EvenPrime,

Thanks for sharing your profile. Academic arc looks perfect, considering your institution and GPA. I agree with the opinion shared. While adcom evaluate your profile they also look into the extra curriculum you should be able to showcase your achievements and need for doing an MBA. Academic arc looks perfect, considering you have 10 years of work experience it may be uncertain to apply for traditional MBA. You have to be careful in school selection can also look more into the 1-year program schools. Will be happy to help you in school selection or guiding you towards the best program suitable.

You can try our unique B school selector tool to gauge your chances for schools suitable for your current profile.

Hey EvenPrime!

Have you taken the GMAT yet? Without knowing the score its a bit tough to recommend a range of schools to apply to. Also, higher GMAT scores (750+) tend to be more competitive for scholarship money but for your demographic, scholarship money is much tougher. If your score is 730-740, you'd be looking at the 15-25 for potential money, since these schools are looking to climb the rankings by enticing high-scoring candidates to lift their average GMAT scores. Keep in mind also scholarships can be very unpredictable.

Everything looks solid on paper, and as an Indian candidate with work experience in the US, you will be able to differentiate yourself from a competitive pool. You do show a good deal of leadership and social leadership, which schools love (since schools are inherently social places!).

Hypothetically, with a GMAT above 720 you should be fairly competitive within the top 15...but without knowing a little more about you and your specific experience and aspirations it's hard to pinpoint specific schools. Feel free to reach out at scott@personalmbacoach.com to discuss your candidacy in greater depth!
