Hey! Was hoping for feedback regarding my profile as I’m planning to apply to ISB R2 2017.
Hi rupali25, your work experience is solid- and so is your GMAT- can see you being a good candidate for ISB, you are a little under on work tenure but a little over on GMAT so that gives you something to work with. You need to develop the extracurriculars more- or rather- highlight more what you have done as you don't have time to start something new now. Maybe think about how you have informally been involved- tutoring someone? helping on a committee for work philanthropy? Try to have a bit more community leadership- dig deep to think about this more broadly than just joining a club. That would help- also you don't articulate your post MBA career goals- make sure you know WHY you want an MBA. What skills are you seeking to gain? Can you think about something you faced at work where if you had a better business tool kit you could have done better? Then look at what classes are offered that can help you get those skills. Doing the homework of really explaining how an MBA can help you is going to set you apart.Work ex: 1 year local small-scale startup, 2.5 years EY Internal audit,
GMAT score:730 (2nd attempt), Acads: Bachelor of Business Studies-68.5%, class XII commerce-85%,
Extra curriculars: love reading/ writing/ calligraphy. Others: female, no awards/ accolades/ extra curricular activities to boast of.
What are my chances? Would be SO grateful if you could analyse my profile or guide me as to what I can do/highlight. Thanks in advance!
