Your GMAT is low for an R3 application. Try for a 680+ at the minimum. If this means applying in R1 next year instead, that's fine.

Hi,

Although you have decent Academics and Work experience, your GMAT score is lower.
You could have a chance only if you can substantiate this with your extracurricular section (Diversity is greatly valued at ISB).
Otherwise, retaking the exam and applying next year will be best. Many students have improved their GMAT score (~100 points) and obtained scholarships from ISB(Scholarship chances in R3 are less).

Best of luck.

Hello ayushjainz,

I hope you are doing well, your profile is quite impressive, especially with your academic achievements, professional qualifications, and extensive work experience in a reputable firm like PwC.

Coming to your academics, your scores are quite commendable. The high percentage in X/XII and a 9 CGPA from Osmania University indicate consistent academic excellence, which can be a positive point during admissions. Being a Chartered Accountant with a track record of clearing all exams in the first attempt showcases your dedication, perseverance, and strong analytical skills. This will be viewed positively by admissions committees. A GMAT score of 650 (V31, Q49) is a decent score. While it's essential to present your best score, also remember that the overall profile and other components of the application can compensate for a slightly lower GMAT score.

Your three years at PwC, with an expectation of a fast-track Manager promotion, speaks volumes about your capabilities and performance.
The variety of sectors you've worked in, especially large-scale corporate audits and diverse industries like Power, IT, Pharma, etc., is an advantage. Your involvement in complicated transactions and your experience with global teams across various countries highlight your adaptability, leadership, and expertise in your domain.

Your recognition for delivering beyond expectations and leading the department's events management team demonstrates leadership, dedication, and an ability to manage diverse tasks effectively. Your extra-curricular activities, such as singing, videography, and badminton, showcase a well-rounded personality. Participating and winning in various competitions further demonstrates your talents outside the professional realm.

Utilize your essays and recommendation letters to highlight specific instances where you demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and impact in your professional and extra-curricular activities. This will provide context and depth to your achievements.

In summary, Ayush, your profile showcases a blend of academic excellence, professional achievements, leadership, and diverse experiences. Focus on presenting your accomplishments, skills, and aspirations coherently in your application essays, and best of luck with your Round 3 applications!

We offer a limited number of complimentary profile evaluations each week. We match you with the students and alums of top B-Schools according to your background and target schools. In this call, the experts will try to dig out your USP for top B-schools and provide you with honest feedback on your profile and chances to your target schools.

Hi Sanjana,
Your grades and GRE score are definitely strong.

If you are not very confident about the work experience you can consider applying in round 1 for the next cycle. That would give you more time to build a strong professional profile as well.
As an eeo applicant you would join the class later, which will not change if you apply now or a few months later.

All the best 👍
