Let A and B be capacity of each reservoir.

A = B + 450 ................. (1)
A-100 = 2*(B+100) .................. (2)

(2) becomes A = 2B + 300

Solving, we get B = 150, A = 600.

Option B

A = 450 + B

A - 100 = 2 (B+100)

450 + B - 100 = 2B + 200

350 + B = 2B + 200

B = 150

A = 600

To confirm this

600 - 100 = 500

2 (150+100) = 2 * 250 = 500

Answer choice B
