Hi mathew58,

Thank you for your reply. HBX CORe "Certificate of Readiness" is a three-course online program that aims to prepare you for the business world and is beneficial to those who want to strengthen their MBA application. The three CORe courses are (i) Business Analytics, (ii) Economics for Managers, and (iii) Financial Accounting. The program takes roughly 150 hrs to complete, and it can be completed within 8-10 weeks (accelerated). There is a deadline coming up for the May cohort, May 7th. You can find more information about the program here, and if interested, can also apply: https://hbx.hbs.edu/courses/core/.

As to increasing your chances, the MBA application is a process, but in a word, Yes. It requires not only the quantitative skills but also the qualitative skills/emotional intelligence (EQ) to show the AdComm that you will not only succeed in academics but will be a value add to your cohort. Every aspect of the application is intended to offer the admissions committee a window into who you are, what your goals are, why are you choosing them, why an MBA, and why now. Every piece of information you submit with your profile should elucidate an aspect of you, so the AdComm can best assess your fit (after all, what you submit is all they have to go on). Therefore, it is important that you take great care with every aspect of the application for every school. They want to admit you, so give them the chance.

Our goal is to strategically help clients tell their story. We work only with those that are serious about the process - you seem to be. It would be our pleasure to take this to the next step and help you with your admission.

Hi thanks for your generous reply. Can you please answer some of my questions?
1. How many prep course, like that offered by HBS (HBX CORe) should i complete given that i can forego one year for these courses? Also will doing the course e.g. Sustainable Business Strategy from HBX CORe be applicable for only Harvard or will impact all of my b school application?
2. If I polish my reasons for MBA and post MBA goals after consulting you, will that increase my selection chances?
