Actually not after all! It turns out I got engaged, and we set the date for July. So it is impossible to go to Ivey since its calendar doesn't quite fit with my plans. Great school though!

Any idea whats the usual gap between the interview and the results?

Many ppl are living in the downtown core, bout 5-10 mins from the new Ivey building

Congrats, Ducksworth (I`ve been keeping up with your posts of late)! I've read that INSEAD only considers multilingual students, what other languages do you speak? Out of curiosity what was your GMAT Q and V, GPA that got you into Saïd and INSEAD?

Had my life situation been a little different, I might have applied to INSEAD, IMD and Saïd myself.

Hi CarlMtl. I speak 4 major European languages (with different levels of fluency) and, from what I see from Insead's intranet, the vast majority speak 3 or 4. My GPA was 92%. My GMAT was 690 but I guess I made up for the low score with other parts of the application.

Regardless, Desautels is an up an coming program and I think you are going to a great school. If my wife didn't hate the cold as much, I probably would have gone to Canada.

Four languages - that`s great. I think I remember seeing INSEAD's avg gmat as 700 and avg languages as 3 or 4 too. I only speak french and english (totally bilingual). Thanks for the McGill encouragement, I`m excited about attending. I believe it will be a totally different experience than most MBA schools (the intake floats around 70 spots/year, in comparison INSEAD is about 1000, I think).

My (soon to be) wife has a great position with work here in Montreal, and so we didn`t want to move away from the city if we could help it. Funny how the women in our lives can often dictate where, what and how well we do things.

Where are you from? What industry are you coming from?

To all Ivey ambassadors.....I am still in the dark to find out what made Ivey slip weighted rankings over last 2-3 years....and its a big slip. UTO seems to have picked up real well. So what are your takes?

It is shattering to note, applicants of our age group and above 10-12 years work experience are not quiet welcome in Ivey for 1 year program. They rather insist us on EMBA. It is devastating, as now I can anticipate the result of my application review.....I am fixed
