Hi Mondcivitano
My name is Shimri Winters and I head the strategy team here at
ARINGO MBA Admissions Consulting.
Well done for receiving a truly great GMAT score.
Your mediocre GPA is not a big worry, as a. you have made up for it with a 760 GMAT and b. it sounds like you studied in a foreign country, and possibly in a foreign language. So we can definitely explain to the schools that your academic ability is not represented in the mediocre GPA.
Regarding the scholarship question. It is hard for me to assess your profile based on the info you shared (so please send me your CV to
shimriw@ARINGO.com and I will share a deeper assessment).
There are also questions you need to think about for example: do you prefer a top 5 school (for example Wharton or Harvard) with no scholarship vs. a top 10 school (for example Ross or Cornell) with a 50% scholarship vs. a top 20 school (for example Georgetown) with a full ride? another question is, do you prefer a European program vs. a US one. For example - would you go to INSEAD with no scholarship (but a shorter and cheaper degree) vs. Chicago Booth with a 50% scholarship?
Anyway, a lot of questions here ?.
Just on the basis of the above, I would say you have a good chance of receiving a decent scholarship in the top US and EU schools. How do you make decent into substantial? write kick-ass applications (Well, that is what we specialize in...)
As I said, feel free to drop me a line with your CV and other info and we can take it from there...
As always, I suggest you check out our site, for lots of info on scholarships, chances assessment etc. on
