Hey guys,
So I took the GRE last December and got a 332 (166 Q, 166 V), and I was wondering if I should take the GMAT if I am planning to apply to B-school. According to the GRE to GMAT converter this is equivalent to a 740 GMAT.

Thanks for sharing and congrats on a great performance on the GRE. Admissions officers at most schools that accept GRE have communicated they evaluate them similarly and it is not seen as a negative to submit the GRE. For a candidate like you who performed well on the GRE I would not recommend taking the GMAT as schools are really using this gauge whether you can handle the work, which your score on the GRE will prove. However, I would be prepared if you decide to go this route to expect a potential question from an interviewer (b-school or MBA recruiting) about why you took the GRE vs GMAT, especially if you are interested in finance.

Thanks for your insight,
I was planning on saying something like:
I am interested in finance and though that a master in financial engineering would be a good path to pursue, so I took the GRE as all of them require it. Looking at the bigger picture, I think an MBA might give me more flexibility and avoid pigeonholing myself in regards to my options in a financial career.
Does that sound good?
