I will really appreciate your input on the profiles below of me and my wife":

GMAT: 680 (Q49,V32)
Education: MS in Computer Sc (University of Southern California, graduated in May 2004 Major GPA:3.64, CGPA:3.43)
BE in Computer Science & Engineering (Graduated May 2001, First division)

Work Ex: total work ex: 28 months
Aug '01-Jun'02 : Worked as a Software Dveloper at a Multinational manufacturing firm desginging and developing diferent softwares to pace up their sales and inventory.
Was appreciated for leaning all the business processes of the firm in a span of 1 year.

Jul'04-Oct'04: Worked as SOftware Engineer at a software services firm in Los Angeles, working for city govts. of California.

Nov'04-till date- Working for the previous manufacturing firm, as Head, IT Department, leading a team of 6 Developers
Desinging softwares to enable all the branches of the firm to interact with each other (basically automatising the work)
Prime point of contact for the Northern Region
Actively involved in customer relations and marketing...

Extra Curricular: Memeber of Association of Indian Students at USC...
Active participant in cultural events throughout my life (school, undergrad, grad and workk)
Won certificates in dance and painting competitions

I will be applying to an MBA in International Business or Strategy...
Short term goal: To work in an environment which gives me opportunity to show my capabilities and where I can learn about the working of International market

Long Term goal: Plan to start own business in 5-7 years down the line.

Another thing I would request is the assessment of my partners profile:

GMAT 710(V35, Q50)
Education: BE Comuter Science and Engg. (Graduated May 2001, Top 1% of class , 80%)
Work Ex: total work ex: 52 months
Working as a Project Manager at a leading telecom firm
handling a team of 8 developers
won acclaims and awards for achievements
first ever to win the achievement award

Extra curricular:
A good bunch of certificates coming from debates, speeches,extempores,paintings and dance.

Top 1% througout the education
Hobbeis: Poetry

Plans to do MBA in Finance together we will be able to well establish a business....

Short term goal: To work for 2-3 years in an environment which offers a good learning curve
Long term: Help establish and run own business....

Schools we plan to apply !!
Columbia, Tuck, Cornell, Stern, CMU and Darden...

Please suggest the chances of admission to these schools....or any other schoosl tht we shud target !!
I will really appreciate your inputs...

I think you both should have a good chance of getting into at least one or two of those schools. Your GMAT scores and GPAs are fine, so don't worry about any of that stuff. Here are a couple of questions/thoughts that came to me when I read your profiles. You don't need to answer them for me, but just be aware that adcomms may ask these same questions:

1) Why did you change jobs a couple of times? Adcomms will probably ask why you left that company and then went back to it.

2) It looks like neither of you have any community service in your backgrounds. It's great that you have hobbies like painting, dancing, etc... Use these in your essays to help show that you're interesting people. But be aware that adcomms may wonder why you don't have more community service.

3) It sounds like you both have good leadership experiences on the job... You're not just software developers, you're LEADERS within the department. Be sure to emphasize this fact, too!
