Hi TAC470,
Based on your post history, it appears that you have been studying for the GMAT for over a year. If you've worked through lots of practice questions in the forums at GMATClub, then it is likely that you have seen some questions from many (if not all) of the major CAT/mock 'brands' available - meaning that your concern about the 4 Official CATs in Exam Packs 1 & 2 should apply to all of the various CATs that you might purchase. At this point, there's nothing that you can do about that issue - so since the Official GMAC CATs are the most realistic ones available, it would make sense for you to use them. However, you might not want to rush in to take any of those CATs until we have defined your studies over the last year in more detail.
Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How long have you studied in total? Have you taken any 'time off' from your studies over the last year? Over the last 3 months, how many hours did you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used over the course of ALL of your studies?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) How many times have you taken the Official GMAT, on what dates did you take your Exams and how did you score on EACH?
Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?
