Just a little background:

I took the GMATs for the 1st time in August and scored a 700 (45Q 40V) 7IR 5AWA.

I was hoping for a 720 so I rescheduled the exam.

Just came back from my retake and unfortunately my score dropped. I got a 680 (47Q 36V) 7IR.

I already rescheduled my 3rd and final attempt for mid-December and I need to bring my Verbal section back up but I guess my question is should I cancel my 680 score? It shows an improvement in Quant but an overall lower score.

Thanks!

p.s. I have 72 hours to cancel free so any advice in that time period would be great!

You have 72 hours to cancel for a $25 fee (free is only just after the exam, at the center). After 72 hours you cannot cancel.

Keep the 680 if your target schools put a lot of emphasis on quant. Otherwise, go ahead and cancel it.

As they say, third time lucky. All the best for the December attempt :-)
