Hi,
I just took my GMAT exam and my Score is 690 (V-31,Q-50,IR-8).
I am an Engineer graduate from one of the very reputed college in India with GPA 4. I am working as Linux and VMware administrator with 7 years of experience.
I am targeting Chicago based universities, primarily Booth and Kellog.
Please suggest if I should try for round 2 with this GMAT score or Should I retake the exam?
Looking forward for your suggestions.
Thank you!!
Hey Pal,
Firstly congrats on your score. Now coming back to your query on whether to apply to Booth and Kellogg with a 690- Both the B schools have an average requirement around 730 thus it makes them stretch schools. However said so I have had a student s earlier who got into Kellogg MMM with a 650.
If I were you I would introspect on what is the profile that I want to get into post my MBA and how does my current profile aligns with it. It is does aligns then I may have a small chance to get a call for an interview from a stretch school. If not why am I looking into those schools and what shall I be befitting out of them.
I am sure you have chosen Booth and Kellogg for some specific reason. Why dont you share it with me and lets discuss.
regards
Vijay Khannah
