Hey guys-- first, thanks for the advice and time. I'll keep it brief:
Ngo background applying to Tuck, Berkeley, Kellog, Darden
GRE:
167 V
161 Quant (79th percentile)
GMAT (700)
42 V
44 Q (54th percentile)
Verbal for both is fine. My quant percentile for gre looks much better -- the gmat percentile freaks me out but I've heard not to read too much into percentiles. Still though, seems like I'm 1 point shy of 45 which some consider to be a "reasonably safe" quant score at most top b-schools.
I'm worried the low quant percentile on GMAT looks bad, but also think b-schools might prefer gmat (esp Berkeley, they state they do). I'm not trying to "hide" my math abilities-- I'm confident with more study I could raise the GMAT quant (i took gre a while back with lots of studying, took the gmat recently with not so much time). I'm submitting for round 2 app deadlines so no retake for now. Which should I submit?
I agree. Go with the GMAT.
Best,
Jon
