Hi everyone!!

This is my first post in the GMAT club, so apologies in advance if I'm doing things out of order.

I have a bachelors in dental surgery from India and an MPH in Epidemiology from Harvard. 3.8 and 4.0 GPA respectively. I have 3 years clinical experience and a year experience in research as an analyst in a global health org. I have international and US volunteer experience in health promotion and research.

To get into the MPH program, I wrote GRE and got a score of 326. 163 in verbal and 163 in quant. I also have TOEFL with a score of 119

With this profile, should I write the GMAT if I want to get into the top ten schools? Or can I apply with the GRE? Anything else to improve my shot at the top ten b-schools?

I'm also a bit older than average (31y)

Post MBA, I hope to work in global health strategy and operations.

Thank you in advance for your guidance and a very happy new year!

You have a unique profile which would help you get admission in top colleges. You should write GMAT because it is standard test which all the top colleges accept and with a medical background you would get an edge over other applicants who would be mostly from engineering or commerce background.

If you want to get into a top 10 schools, I would take the GMAT, less about the GRE vs GMAT and more the quality of your score. That GRE converts to a 690 which would be well below the avg at these schools which are closer tot he 720 range. So i recommend taking the GMAT
