One thing to keep in mind in terms of trying to discern a pattern for the interview invitations is that Sloan, like many other schools, hire seasonal readers and interviewers, and the same person often plays both roles, like all admissions officers.

At Sloan, some of these people live in Cambridge, while others live all over the world. So if a bunch of invitations are coming from, let's say, Los Angeles, it could be that the person in LA happened to finish evaluating his/her applications before the evaluator who's reading from Tokyo.

Okay well that kind of sucks me for me then because from the forums a ton of people from the Mid West (specifically Chicago) have received their invites.... :( ...

Doesn't look like it, though this sample size is definitely not necessarily representative of the overall population. ;-) I wouldn't read too much into trying to find a pattern; more often than not the pattern is purely in our mind.

I honestly feel they are not only random, but there also don't seem to be any large waves...One can argue that the sample size here is not enough to draw any definite conclusion. But, if past performance is in any way a reflection of future, the sample size here has been quite representative of the actual applicant pool...
The Director's blog said they will give atleast a 1 week notice for interview. So, I guess its only prudent to wait until then and hope for the best...

Did anyone else get the Tsinghua -MIT global MBA program ad in your registered email. I very specifically remember checking the "do not share my information to partner programs" checkbox. :? Could this possibly be a sign that a profile is being moved aside for consumption by partner programs?

Ah you got it too! I am located in SE Asia. I felt it was ironic I got this email the day after my video gets viewed in Youtube and also when I had specifically opted out of receiving such emails. This probably does not mean much if everyone is receiving it.
