Thanks Ankur. The email from MIT said that they wanted to interview me at Mumbai. Dates available are the 11th and 12th of November. There were no options for other cities. They did mention that I should email them in case I could not attend the interview in Mumbai.

Yes, I believe so... Since a member of the Adcom would be travelling to Mum for the interviews, I don't anticipate that he/she would stay for long, and would look to complete all interviews within a span of a couple of days.

I see what you mean...unless they're planning to visit Delhi too...I think I read somewhere that they did visit last year...

dont be so offensive and arrogant...im not sure so i asked. is this so dumb? Middle east includes western asia and egypt in my mind. but since almost all the interviews come from the US now, so i just want to double confirm.

relax @rocket. Middle East is not only ASIA and there are applicants who apply from Egypt.

@discursive: for some reasons, adcom combines Middle East with Africa and Europe. Maybe because of the sheer number of applicants from India/China/SE Asia.

Spoke to Adcom today morning ... they keep saying interview invites are totally random....no specific time during the day...not based on Geography or on interview preference (although I find that hard to believe, I am hanging on to that hope for now) given that I live in Chicago (although being an international applicant from Australia) ....

Yeah, I keep telling myself that we still have over a week till the last day of invitations on Nov 8, but I'm starting to lose hope too.
