Hi Kitkat6 - Can you please specify the state? It would be interesting to see how far west you are. If you're anywhere close to CA, it would be weird for them to invite you to a campus interview.

I'm about twice as far from Boston as San Francisco. I imagine they want to save the California spots for the people who actually live there.
Also, my entire family lives in Boston so it actually works out better for me, I'm just surprised.

Hi KitKat, thanks for giving us all of this information! I know it must get pretty annoying when we dissect exactly where you are and when you received the invite... you can understand our neuroticism a little bit. Thanks and congrats again!

Congratulations to everyone invited! And to repeat CelerIP, thanks for providing the updates. There haven't been many posts about interview invites yet, as compared to earlier in the week the Wharton page was getting posts every couple minutes. I'm in NJ and am still (nervously) waiting. I assume no more are going out today. Any east coasters get invites?

Haha no worries, I would do the exact same thing. I've been lucky to find out on day 1 for both schools so far so it's the least I can do to try to make it less painful for everyone else.
You can never be sure that the sample space here represents all the applicants. I am an International applicant from India and my application status does mention that the application is complete & under evaluation.
Sloan is a top school and with Duke's EA rejection I am a bit skeptical of my application. All the best to everyone and hope you at least get an interview invite.

Hi rsworase, I asked a similar question at UCLA presentation. Two years ago a moved to a different country -even continent- from my home country. The admissions representative told me that they mainly consider the nationality on your passport, the one that you indicate on the app form. I think it should be the same for MIT.
So I currently live in the US but am not a US citizen. Am i classified as an international applicant even though my address etc submitted is US?

I am in the same situation as u, and I am currently IN BOSTON. However, I am not so optimistic, cuz', remember, we are asked to write the city where we are living for interview purpose. Anyway, let's keep our fingers crossed, and hopefully, share the updates regarding the interview. The waiting really kills.
