My Interviewer is Diane Katz as well. I'm so glad if you could tell some of her style. My interview is early December.
Diane Katz, like all of the MIT adcom, is super friendly and easy to talk to. She will have a full page of notes about your application already ready and she will probe into her questions concerning your background. She also asks 2-3 behavioral questions which are of the typical verity which you can find like team work and leadership type questions.

Just know your story, be comfortable and enjoy talking about yourself :)
Thanks very much!!!

Have any interviewees heard anything about bringing transcripts to the interview? Apparently this was required last year, but I haven't read anything about that this year...

Good luck to all!

Any feedback on the above? Thanks.

If the last day to receive invites was 8th Nov, shouldn't we receive dings and waitlist notifications by now?

Does anybody knows something else about this?

Fellow Hopefuls:

I apologize for sharing this intel a little late but for what it's worth toward improving your weekend: I attended Sloan's online chat Wednesday and one of the admissions officers shared the following with the room after being asked if more R1 int invites were still slated to go out (note for those who have been following this thread religiously: the chat room in which the following was stated was different from the one DCBallers reported from on Wednesday): "expect invites over the next two weeks."

as matter-of-factly as it was written is as matter-of-factly as I'm going to interpret it!

Still hope? Oh, I believe so!!

I emailed the admissions office, and the woman who replied confirmed that Fri, Nov 8 was the last day for Round 1 Interview invitations. On Fri, Nov 15, we will either get dings or waitlist deferrals into Round 2.

Thanks. That's truly demoralizing.

Agreed. Sloan is by far my top choice. Even if I get into any of my other Round 1 schools, I'd still hold out for Sloan, if I end up being waitlisted there for Round 1.

I called them early this morning and spoke to a person, who spoke to some directors, and then could only reply by saying:

"It was our goal to notify all applicants of interviews by November 8th. You will receive a status notification by November 15th."

She said this very precisely after initially claiming all interviews went out, then doublechecking with other officers about "stragglers." Interpret as you will.

I feel like Sloan could have done a better job with this.

Yes, they were clear on the blog when it was last updated, but it feels like we have heard different answers from their officers over emails/chats/phones etc.
And this has come from multiple sources on multiple days.

Only adds to the anxiety :?

let's hope we're all one of the "stragglers"

Folks, stay positive! I'm still hoping for the best as well... But always prepare for the worst, too. If you aren't working on R2 yet, start! What's the worst that could happen? You'll get into your top choice and you won't need to submit your R2 apps. Good luck, everyone!

Does anyone know if it's really important to attend the lunch on the day of on-campus interviews? (i.e. are they evaluating us based on that)? My interview is at 4 pm and it is very hard to get out of work at lunch-time, but if it's important, I'll just take the day off.

FROM Sloan Admissions Blog: MSMS Application is Live!
The Master of Science in Management Studies (MSMS) online application is now available.  This year’s application deadline is Wednesday, February 5, 2014.

The MIT Sloan MSMS program is designed for students who have received or are working towards their MBA or equivalent master’s degree at a non-U.S. institution. Students in the MSMS program benefit from MIT Sloan’s collaborative environment and a unique, elective-based curriculum.  This approach offers unparalleled flexibility, as there are virtually no course requirements for MSMS other than the thesis.

A current MSMS student explained how the vast opportunities at MIT Sloan make her feel like she is “a kid in the candy store.” Read more about the experiences of current MSMS students.

Ready to start your online application? Check out a quick overview of the application process:

If you have any questions about the MSMS program, please visit our website or reach out to the Admissions Team at ][email protected].

Good luck to everyone!
