From the passage we know:

Beautiful cats --subset-> Persian --all--> pompous --all--> irritating.

So we need to find an answer that does not directly fit into this chart.

A) This has to be true, because working backwards from the chart, all persians are irritating and some of the beautiful cats are persian
B) Also must be true for similar reasons working backwards in the chart
C) Trick answer, but this is actually TRUE. We see that under Persian, it always points down to irritating. Don't eliminate an answer just because it uses words like "all".
D) Must be true, just like irritating, work backwards from pompous cats, which are all Persian cats.
E) Not always true, we know nothing about non-Persian cats, for all we know they could all be NOT irritating, or they could ALL be irritating, in either case the chart above still holds true.

Choice E is correct.

Two key CR test taking skills apply in this question:

1. Careful reading of the question being asked (MUST BE TRUE is the key element of the question -- that is completely different from CAN BE TRUE). Most people who get this type of question wrong miss that distinction.
2. Visualisation -- even though it's a verbal question, creating a flow chart like wasario did above helps to create focus on the potential points of weakness in each answer choice. Our minds work better with visuals that with words (which is why the GMAT test writers love to use work problems in quant).

If you're finding yourself consistently making process errors, then you need to take a sports coaching approach to fixing them with skills drills. If you want to learn more about skills drills drop me a DM and I'll share more about this incredibly effective tool to accelerate your progress.
