I can study at one of these schools, but I'm not sure which one to choose. I'm mainly interested in Germany and London IB recruitment. I did my undergrad at WHU and I'm a native German.

WHU:
+ it's home (friends and family live around)
+/- It's 2 years and offers 2 internships.
- €24k

SSE:
+ Free
+/- 2 years
I'm not sure about German recruitment.

Imperial / Warwick:
+ I guess the best Placement in London
+/- 1 year (no time for internships)
- Expensive

I assume London placement is: Imperial / Warwick > SSE = WHU
And I guess Frankfurt: WHU > Imperial = SSE

is that correct? If yes, I would go with either SSE or WHU because 2 years allows me to do an intership

Hello GermanIBD

I would go to Imperial.

You do have internship at Imperial in June month.

https://www.imperial.ac.uk/business-sch ... -overview/

https://www.imperial.ac.uk/business-sch ... -projects/

In past students from Imperial did their internships at BCG, Goldman Sachs, Google, China Merchants Bank etc.

I dont really understand your strategy, is it London or Germany ??

You need to decide, I cannot do it for you and depending on that decision you will choose school, Imperial or WHU.

Although from both Imperial and WHU you can expect somewhat similar salary, Imperial is much more better ranked globally (39) than WHU (71), according to FT:

https://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolr ... nking-2019

There is also another European MBA rankings, where Imperial is 8. , Warwick 16. , WHU 24. in Europe only :

https://www.topmba.com/mba-rankings/ful ... urope-2019

That kinda answers your question on spot.

If money is not an issue go to Imperial and London.

Still don't understand why would you apply to Imperial and then complain it is expensive for you after being admitted. :)

Seriously.

You have various scholarships that covers fees in full or partially at Imperial that you should check on :

Good Luck

I can only agree with the recommendation on Imperial over WHU.
While Valendar is a good school, international recognition is still relatively limited.

Hence, I would follow the German proverb: "Was der Bauer nicht kennt, das frisst er nicht!" concerning UK IB placements.

All the best,
Chris

I've done a bit of research on WHU. I think you should go to WHU since it is strong in Germany and try your best to break into IB in Frankfurt, work there for 2-3 years and move to London (if London retains its current position) or you could just stay in Frankfurt or at least move to Zurich. I think the pros you've outlined above for WHU make ideal cause for considering this option.

I went to a lower-than-Imperial-tier college in London and I'm familiar with the London/UK schools and colleges. Imperial is strong but you'll have only 12 months and you'll have to work your arse off to land an interview. IBs love Imperial College because of its science and engineering students/graduates but they are less interested in Imperial's business school. Nevertheless, you can leverage the college's overall attractiveness and hence all networking events, just keep your eye on all on/off-campus events.

Warwick with its distant location and Stockholm's small IB scene go against your wishes. Just don't consider these unless you have other strong reasons. You have two better options in Imperial and WHU.
