My status is also now under review. However, looking back through the thread for round 1, everyone's status will be changing soon. It doesn't mean anything special. The Stanford website says your status will change to under review about 2 weeks after the app deadline.

For what it is worth, I also just checked my application and it says "submitted".

Best of luck to everyone hoping for good news in the weeks ahead. I am sure there is space for all of us!

Hi. My status also states 'YOUR APPLICATION IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW'.

It seems like this goes for everyone. Nothing to get too excited about, but good that something is happening.

Haha, indeed! I have yet to meet someone who was accepted (and applied for the fellowship) in R1. Anyone out there?

Hello everyone, this question is mainly for R1 applicants who were invited to interview (though I know you all might not be reading this thread anymore): when did most people receive interview invites in relation to the invite time frame opening? The R2 interview invites will begin to go out next week, but I am wondering what the volume of invites looked like throughout the invite window in R1. Were most of the invites sent in the first few days? Later in the first week? Even spread across the entire invite time frame? Any regional patterns? I know that in the end it doesn't really matter, but I am hoping that most of the invites go out in the first week so that I can simply assume "no" and move on if I do not get an interview invite in the first week. This would be better than an entire month of constant email checking :)

FROM Stanford Admissions Blog: General Stanley McChrystal Visits the GSB
The transition to civilian life for four-star General Stanley McChrystal has been a smooth one. Since retiring from the U.S. Army in 2010, the general launched the McChrystal Group, a leadership consultancy, and began teaching as a senior fellow at Yale's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs. In his recent visit to the GSB as part of the View from the Top speaker series, McChrystal discussed the qualities of leadership and organizational behavior that were integral to his success both on the battlefield and in his transition to the private business world. His complete presentation can be seen here [WAITING FOR YOUTUBE LINK].-->

Dan Berschinski, MBA '15, who introduced the general, understands the nuances of professional transitions. After serving as an Army first lieutenant, he too is now adapting to the business world. Veterans, as well as students of all backgrounds, find the resources and support they need if they choose to shift career directions while at the GSB. Our Career Management Center (CMC) helps you chart your course and find the right opportunities at every step of your career, even as an alum.

Learn more about how you can work with CMC advisors to create a personalized career plan, develop your personal and professional skills, make strategic decisions, and achieve your goals. Veterans can learn more about eligibility for application fee waivers and our participation in the Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008, the Yellow Ribbon Program - a grant that is available to eligible military candidates.

KatJ - I am interested to know as well (although I think sometimes this knowledge causes more anxiety!).

The Stanford GSB threadmaster should be able to share the stats when people changed their status to 'invited' rather than 'submitted'.

Can we please see a graph? :)

Hi guys. I can't say for sure but I think the invites were pretty spread out throughout the window. I do not think there is any pattern (like by region, industry, etc.). I think the timing has more to do with 1. when your app gets read, and 2. the availability of your interviewer. Stanford will match you with a person who lives near you to interview with. When you get the interview invite, you have 7 days to complete the interview, so the timing of when you get the invite probably depends in part on what your interviewer's availability is. I received my invitation to interview only 2 days before the last day of the window.
