Was anyone else invited to interview for Summer Start? I'm in the camp of having interviewed 4 to 5 weeks ago and still waiting for a decision. I interviewed for summer start. From the people I talked to its a good deal in that you meet people early and you have a lighter course load when everyone is recruiting

Question about the waitlist at Stern:

I'm told (by a consultant from one of the larger firms) that being waitlisted after interviewing at Stern is actually a positive thing. It means they like you; they just want to make sure that you're actually committed to attending if admitted. I am told that many people placed on the waitlist after interviewing are subsequently admitted 4-6 weeks later.

Can anyone confirm this? If so, this may be interesting/relevant to those recently placed on the WL.

I am! Interviewed on December 11th for a Summer Start spot. Patiently (with a sprinkle of anxiously!!) waiting for my post-interview decision. Fingers crossed!

Hi Pyar, do you mind me asking when you applied? I'm still waiting to hear back from Stern and am curious about your timeline.

Regarding being waitlisted, I think it is what it is. It may not necessarily be that bad, they could be waiting to see if some of the applicants accept the Stern offer or decline. I have my fingers crossed for you!
