Hi Bunuel,

There seems to be some problem in the question.
Either the angle is between L and N, or we have been asked to find the acute angle between the streets L and N

LMN is a right angled triangle with LM intersecting at 40, MN intersecting at 90 and LN intersecting at 50

The question is somewhat wrong as it as already given that L and M intersect at 40 degrees.

What is asked to find is not clear

angle between two sides (Streets) L and M is 40 degree
the angle between the sides (Streets) N and M is 90 degrees
Hence angle between sides (Streets) L and N should be 180-(40+90)=50 degree (Option E)

$$\angle$$ LM = 40
$$\angle$$ NM = 90
$$\angle$$ LN = 180 - (40+90)
= 50
