I have like a 70% accuracy on CR. I am not using any techniques like they tell online to keep in mind the premise or argument. It does not help for me. I just answer it based on my understanding. How are u approaching CR?

But the structured thinking is important to solve CR questions otherwise you will keep making mistakes

Agreed. Wouldn’t recommend gimmicks like pre-thinking, but structure and techniques help

Yes definitely . Without conclusion identification, how would u tell whether the statement is strengthening the conclusion or not.

Hi guys!
I’m targeting to take the exam by Jan 2024.
Right now I have started to study the DI section for the Focus version but I also plan to study for Sentence Correction so as to cover for the old version IF I happen to make my mind and eventually go for the old GMAT at the last moment.
But, with the larger audience, I wanted to get some suggestions/opinions as to how to choose between the old GMAT and Focus edition based on data insights and SC sections

First, try to complete data insights section and see if u r able to excel in it. Only then, decide to go for current GMAT edition.

this is just my own honest thought, but learning Data Insights can be tricky considering that most of us don’t learn it in schools or unis. Compared to that Sentence Corrected was the easiest of all the GMAT Topics to improve upon. It had the simplest learning curve, and we were all familiar with majority of the Grammar rules anyway. So since there is still two months to the Old GMAT remaining, I would suggest to people to keep the older version for now. I also don’t like the fact that DI questions are not heaps in numbers.

also in order to make an informed decision, I wanted to ask if there is a way to get to know the nearest test centre dates/slots availabilities BEFORE we create a GMAT profile (since it goes till "make payment" option and cautions that we need to contact GMAC if we wish to edit our profile)?

Also, given the Jan 2024 deadline for the old GMAT, do you think there will be a dearth in test centre/online slot availabilities with each passing day? (Country in specific - India)
