Hi, Can someone advice me if taking the GMAT focus in November for a november deadline application a good idea ? Considering I am starting my full time study today and I hope the colleges know about the percentile score differences in the old Gmat and the focus.
The new test format is available starting November 8. If you are going to take a test in the new format, there’s a chance they will be some risk associated with it but I feel business schools or masters programs would be understanding in case there are delays. Definitely more risk but it should be manageable. At the same time, I would recommend taking whichever test you can get a higher score in in terms of percentiles. So if you feel stronger about data insights pulling your score up, it may be worth the risk.
However, as with every new product, a bumpy ride is to be expected while the iron out all the bugs. Still, I think schools would be understanding in case your score is delayed for some technical reasons out of your control.
