Study guide to improve the score

GMAT Club is one of the great platforms to get information about the GMAT official test, Study plan, Section wise instructions, etc.

To assist you better, we would request you to write back with the following questions:

1. What are your current score and target score? (You can mention the Diagnostic test score also)
2. How do you rate yourself in Quant and Verbal?

In a generalized way, to crack GMAT, you need a disciplined study plan, command on basic concepts, exposure to agile approaches, reliable resources, updated comprehensive material and mock tests, and an expert with whom you will be connected throughout your preparations.

The official GMAT exam will test the candidate’s ability to manage time, handle pressure, apply the learned concept, and score better. GMAT is not as easy as we assume. GMAT math is logic, rather than general math skill, and verbal is a real language test and a logic skill test of an individual.

Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, but with a planned Test Date in the 2nd week of August, you would have just 6 week of study time. As such, you might want to consider pushing back your Test Date.

From what you describe, it is not clear whether you actually took a proper practice CAT/mock:

-Did the Exam include the Essay and IR sections?
-Was the Quant section 31 questions (with 62 minutes for that section) - and was the Verbal section 36 questions (with 65 minutes for that section)?

If the answer to all of those questions is YES, then what was your Overall Score (out of 800) and what were your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores?

From what you describe, your immediate study plan is 'book heavy'; unfortunately, many Test Takers who study in that way end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level. There's no harm in starting off your studies in that fashion, but you'll likely end up needing to invest in some additional, non-book resources at some point.
