I completely agree with you Paul.One shouldnt do community work with the sole purpose of impressing adcoms.

I currently have few options that I am personally attached to and interested in doing, but generally would like to know what would make admins to say "wow" in the community work area...

Community service should reflect your interests and values and be enjoyable. If your options all meet these criteria, then choose the option that reveals leadership and organizational skills, or requires working with people in a group setting.
