suggest B Schools

Hi ,

PFB overview of my profile. I am planning for Fall 2016

1) GMAT - 680 : Q49 V34
10th - 87.8%
12th - 77.6%
Btech - 65.3%
2) Work Ex - 4 Years ( in July 2016)
Work Domain - Network Engineer
I have been promoted twice in this period. 
I have received Comnet Jewel (HCL award) multiple times - It is given to best member of the team.
3) Post MBA goals/Reason for MBA - Being an engineer, my scope of work at office is limited - troubleshooting day to day issue and performing daily activities and implementations. My manager is the one who makes all the decisions. Fascinated by his work and the will to plan and make decisions has prompted to to do MBA. I would like to learn at a great Bschool so that I can be a better manager in future.
MBA Domain preferred - General Management.
4) Hobbies/Social Work
A) I have started an initiative called "Plant a tree on every birthday" in which the member of this initiative have to plant trees on his/her birthday.
B) I have participated in Indian Idol - 5 ( Popular TV singing competition)
C) I have coordinated my college level events during my College fests.

Please suggest some strech and safe schools.

Thanks for sharing your background. Before we get into the details of your school selection, I must ask that you share a bit more as it relates to your goals. I understand that you're looking to be a great manager and want to focus on General Management, but what is it that you want to do right after your MBA? Which firms will you apply to and for which roles? What about 5-8 years down the line? This will help me assess fit and recommend the best options for you.

Right after my MBA , I would like to work as a consultant for a reputed firm where I can grow and take on new challenges over time.
Five years down the line , I would like be business head at a reputed firm and handle multiple projects.

These are EXTREMELY generic. I would argue that everyone applying to b-school has these goals. Furthermore, just about any MBA in the top 30 can help you achieve these goals. Help me help you. What more can you tell me about what you want to do in the future?

Initially , I would like to manage and lead entire IT infrastructure of particular company(Project). This is related to my experience actually. An IT infrastructure would include network, firewalls, storage, backups,Operating systems, applications etc for a company. 5 years down the line , I would like to be a business head managing multiple such managers. Hope this can help. Your guidance would be appreciated.
Please help me shortlist some Bschools for my profile.
 I have shortlisted Tippie , Broad and Texas-Dallas.
Also suggest if I can apply for better schools.

Thanks for sharing! Yes, these schools are aligned for you, and I like the thought you put into them. You could also look at SMU as another aligned program and go for Rice Jones if you want to incorporate a stretch. But, frankly, your list looks plenty full and we won't want to overload you over the next few weeks. I'd stick to 3-4 applications and dedicate the proper time they deserve.
