It will depend completely on your starting score.

It is highly recommended that you begin with a diagnostic test first. The official GMAT guide contains diagnostic test or you can even find resources online to take one.
This will tell you which areas you need to focus more on. From there on it is about planning your study based on your strengths and weaknesses.

As for your question now, different people need different amount of practice. It will again depend on where you are and where you want to get....650? 700? 750?

The beauty of GMAT is that it teaches you management skills...right from setting goals, to assessing yourself (objectively), to redefining goals realistically, to planning and executing towards achieving them, not giving up, and finally going the last mile (And therefore becoming business administration ready?)

But do go step-by-step.

Do begin with a diagnostic test to assess your strong/weak areas first.

It purely depends on your current score range. It's better to practice a minimum of 2 sets of 31 Quant(18-PS, 13-DS) and 36 Verbal(12-SC,12RC, 3-4 Passages) questions daily. Apart from this do weekly one mock test(adaptive) mandatorily, then only you will get a feel of the full test.

When you want to appear for GMAT in March the main question should be where will you find the Right Material for preparation on GMAT. There are a number of posts with so many questions you won't be able to understand which one to answer; probably my March you won't be able answer all those questions.
Also, to find the correct Mock Tests, Books required, Planning, and Videos on Verbal; please check my posts below.
