C - Additional information which confirms / strengthen the Argument.

Here the question string is to find an assumption and not strengthen the argument.

A- fits better in for as assumption and on applying the negation it weakens the conclusion.

Note: C on negation also weakens the argument and is a trap to be avoided.

So prior to applying the negation tech from the word go , first weed out the options in advance and then apply the negation ( if required)

C is correct answer, because by virtue of critical reasoning performed by the company in question, it is a commercial establishment and not a charity foundation, thus its prevailing concern is maximisation of profits, which in return brings with maximisation of net sales. Thus, on the contrary , choice (A) has no slightest concern about what would be the net value change in earning from net sales, where as we are not given clue, premium delivery sales and two-day sales prices and amounts. So this concern is precisely expressed in choice (C) with clear addressing to the issue of topmost important concern for a commercial enterprise. The claim for legitimisation of choice (A) is just a turn-around to disguise the answer as correct. It is rather correct and both grammatically and logically correct to use the phrase "the company's plan assumes, that in case it is not implemented,..." or " .....assumes,that unless properly managed, the plan would fail...."
