In part , this could be the reason you got the interview invite offer. Schools love to admit people who show movement and trajectory and/or easily employable. They don’t want to admit someone who is stuck in the job, has no way out and he’s not really doing much... they want to admit the people who doing great and I’m not desperate for an MBA. Desperation is never good and you don’t want to come off needy in your interview.
You obviously need to prep a lot. Most people underestimate how rusty and frankly bad they are interviewing. The fact that you recently switched jobs and probably had to do a couple of interviews is great as well.
I would tell them exactly what you said is that you weren’t expecting to get much interest from business calls but now you’re getting all these interview invites and you are pleasantly reassured by your newfound success. 😎
It is a fine line to walk. You don’t want to give an impression that if they admit you, you will not attend. That is not good for them as it dings the rankings...
