I have heard that jumping jobs is not looked well upon for any application (be it MBA or other job applications) especially if the duration is less than two years. However, if I am interested in moving to different sites every year within the same company (possibly changing business areas), is this still frowned upon and viewed negatively on my resume?

Hi,
You are right that jumping jobs in quick sessions is not considered good and shows instability. If you are getting opportunities in moving to different sites will be considered positive on the basis that you performed good in last assignment and employer proposed a new assignment. Please be sure, that you are not sent back to your default working place. Changing business areas has to be explained WHY? Who took the decision - Whether it was you or the management? It can be considered either positive or negative depending upon circumstances.

Transitions in the job role would definitely be an advantage in the MBA application until your not going back to the previous role again. It shows the adcom about your ability to adapt and work under any pressure. However, it will be also taken into consideration whether it is decided by the employer or you.
