Question

GMAT 710 ( V40 Q48)

Finally gave my GMAT 2nd time. From 660 in 1st attempt to 710 2nd time I am satisfied with the score,even though I am disappointed with my Quants ,which was my strong point. However I want to thank each and every experts here for their beautiful insights in all the topics .That helped me a lot.

A 710/Q48 is an outstanding overall Score - and with it, you can comfortably apply to any Business Schools that interest you. Are you planning to apply sometime soon (and if so, then which Schools are you interested in?)?

V/Q for 660 was Q49 ,V31 .

As for the improvement :

Sentence Correction :

I read two books - GMAT Sentence Correction Nirvana for the foundation and Manhattan Sentence correction book for advanced topics . i also practiced a lot of questions from the forum and made sure to read most of the explanations of the experts from here . Those explanations are really very useful . I realized the 1st time I was more mechanical with my approach . I looked for grammatical errors the moment I read the question . But this time I understood the meaning of the sentence completely before approaching the options . If we practice enough , certainly we will get a pattern of the rules tested in each question and that helps .

CR -

I read Powerscore GMAT Critical Reasoning Bible and that's enough to understand how to approach each question . When I approached a question , I created a logical structure to understand how each statement is linked with the other. That helps in finding the conclusion and assumption and getting a clear picture of the argument . I also practiced a lot of LSAT questions from here .Those questions helped me to comprehend the twists an argument 
can present , specially those cause and effect ones .

RC -

I practiced 2-3 passages every day and followed the topic RC Butler closely . I made sure to use the GMAT timer very seriously as ,I feel , in RC comprehension is easy , but to do so within the stipulated time is very very difficult .

What else has helped me is the lessons from the 1st attempt . I understood the places in which I went wrong ,including choosing the sequence of sections in the test . I went for V followed by Q in my 1st attempt . This time I went for Q 1st so that by the time I approach verbal I could calm down a bit .

I also took the mock test series of Experts Global .From my experience the tests were quite accurate . I scored in the range of 700 - 720 in those .
