Hi, this is my first post, but I feel like something was not addressed yet.

A: The auto industry has experienced one of its most significant trends in the last 50 years, which is ...

I believe A is wrong because 'which' is referring to ONE of the most significant trends. Therefore, it is a restrictive modifier explaining what kind of trend it is. 'That' should be used instead.

I hope this helped!

Is which is correct in Option A? Shouldn’t it be which are since which modifies trend.

On similar lines, what would be correct - One of the trends, which ‘IS OR ARE’ increased adoption of electric vehicles, is rampant in India.

Because I saw similar example - One of my friends who are smart.

Yes, 'which is' is correct. We are talking about only one trend - the migration. We are not talking about all significant trends.

Same is true for "one of the trends, which is increased adoption ..." is correct. We are talking about only one trend.

One of the children who were at the party yesterday is missing.

'who' modifies 'children'. We are talking about the children who were present at the party yesterday.

One of the children, who was sitting alone in a corner at the party yesterday, is missing.

'who' modifies that one child who was sitting alone.
