The best ways to store berries picked during the summer months is to either freeze them or have it made into jam.

(A) is to either freeze them or have it made into jam.
(B) is to either freeze them or make them into jam.
(C) are to either freeze them or have them made into jam.
(D) are to either freeze them or make them into jam.
(E) is to either freeze them and have them made into jam.

Confused between B and D

Since there is Plural Subject I will go with answer Choice D)

There are 2 best ways.
So choosing singular verb is seems illogical .

The best ways to store berries picked during the summer months is to either freeze them or have it made into jam.

(A) is to either freeze them or have it made into jam. (Wrong)
(B) is to either freeze them or make them into jam. (Wrong)
(C) are to either freeze them or have them made into jam. "Have them made into jam" is not paralell. In addition, it seems person who freeze them is not person who make into jam => problem abt meaning
(D) are to either freeze them or make them into jam. CORRECT
(E) is to either freeze them and have them made into jam. (Wrong)

This isn't standard English usage. We'd either say "The best way is X or Y" or "The best ways are X and Y." The latter is less common; usually the idea is that if we're describing the best, it is one way. In any case, the OA doesn't work. If we want to do "either X or Y," then we're actually describing just one way. That way is to do X or Y.
