Why option "D" is wrong?? please explain. Thanks in advance.. :D

Hi sajon,

IMO option D is a run on because after while a clause should be present. That's why option D is wrong.

Don’t we get a doubt that the 'it' may also refer to the streptokinase, whose development is still in progress?
The fact that it 'can stop' a heart attack but not 'stops' the heart attacks may imply that the experiment is still in progress.
It is also possible that the drug can stop a heart attack while the attack is in progress.
Therefore, the ambiguity remains.

Options B, C, D and E should have the word 'attack' in some or the other form to make them logical.

A. attack as they are still in progress
B. as they progress
C. as it is still progressing
D. while still progressing
E. while it is still in progress

Are we sure that this is the official question because it indicates that streptokianse is in fact trying to stop the heart and not the heart attack

"Attack" should not be underlined

If considered underline, then no option other than A would make sense.

I think there is an error in the underlined phrase, "attack" should not be underlined. The only answer choice that makes sense, as of right now, is A.
