Pretty certain they were on the final day - I received the email late on Feb 8.

Depending on where you live the best advice I can give you is to forget about it (hard to do I know) and check your email late in the day - otherwise you will spend all day hitting refresh which isn't good for the nerves

Hello. I am a Round 2 applicant for LBS.
A couple of hours ago, I got a call from the admissions office and the officer asked me to have a brief chat so that she could test my speaking ability in English. (I am an Asian and I had an alumni interview in my home country 2 weeks ago)
I believe I did okay with the chat, and in the last part of the chat she asked me of whether I have an intention to take English courses before the actual commencement.

Do you believe this is a good sign for my admission, although she did not mention whether I am admitted or not.
Today is definitely one of the most thrilling days in my life (since LBS is indeed my top choice school.)

Thank you guys and I wish the best of luck with your admission result as well!

Yes, it is a good sign. But you need to be proactive to address their doubts about your English speaking ability. Just in case they are still not fully convinced, why don't you 'quickly' enroll in an english speaking class and let them know that you intend to improve further in this area.

pitseleh80,

The English test over phone can be seen as positive based on similar R1 posts from other Asian applicants. It means adcom assesses your application, but wants to check your English proficiency. You are borderline admit or WL. Good luck

Thank you very much, especially for such a quick response. During the chat, I told her I am doing regular English trainings everyday and I am interested in taking an English training program offered by King's college London (which is an affiliate college of LBS) before the commencement.

I hope I have answered in a right direction that can help improve my candidacy. I thank you for your help once again.

Hi,

I am a R3 applicant and had scored a 111 in the toefl i.e.
speaking - 26
listening - 30
reading - 27
writing - 28
Total - 111.

Given that my speaking score was low at 26 should i be worried of getting a call like pitseleh80 did?

I don't think 26 is particularly low. Of course this is only my personal opinion, but I would think that LBS looks at other things too. Have you worked / studied in an English speaking country? Is English your work language?

Studied and worked all my life in English.
Would have scored better at speaking if i would have been used to speaking in a mic. I just got up one day and took the test. i did no practice whatsoever.

I think LBS will send out an email to all the candidates simultaneously.

Some important announcements were made today and by and large very positive results for LBS.

I don't know about you folks, but my productivity is rather low at the moment with R2 decisions to be released at some BSchools this week. Then there is March Madness.

What time is LBS likely to notify the admission results for round 2 applicants?
sometime in the morning on 24th of March (GMT)?
