D shows the possibility of less sales revenue expected from the decreased value of the land. D is the correct answer.

PRETHINKING- Although college received this gift but its of some value which the college might want to exchange it for .In case the college plans to sell this land the recent decline won't fetch enough money as much as it would have done in normal state(when land prices would have been high/moderate ) so its a loss for college too.
(A) The 2,000 acres that the college was given last year are located within the same community as the college itself.(The location has nothing to do with premise and our prethinking)REJECT A

Which land is not mentioned but no matter which land they sell it will fetch them LOW PRICE) CORRECT CHOICE IS D.
