The restructuring agency explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found any feasible solution to the problems faced by the company.

Error Analysis:- Verb tense "explored" seems to be correct. Intended meaning is Agency explored few alternatives but no feasible solution has been found.. I couldn't see any error in original sentence.

(A) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
Correct.

(B) had explored several alternatives, which include complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
Incorrect. Past perfect "had explored" isn't required.
(C) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not found
Incorrect. "didn't found" is wrong usage. we would require "has found".

(D) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
Incorrect. "has explored" seems to be wrong because as per original sentence exploration is completed.

(E) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not find
Incorrect. "didn't find" is incorrect.

IMO A.

imo D

(A) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
explored v/s has not found .. seems a incorrect parallelism and sense of meaning
(B) had explored several alternatives, which include complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
Tense issue ..

(C) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not found
Incorrect (past) tense structure.
-- Tense issue again .. After verb did, the action verb should be in its base form i.e. find
(D) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
has explored || has not found -- both present perfect tenses. [color=#00a651]Correct
.

(E) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not find
-- has explored v/s did not find

For this question, I followed the consistency of tenses to eliminate the options.

Bunuel
The restructuring agency explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found any feasible solution to the problems faced by the company.

(A) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
--- Here, explored is in simple past, whereas, has not found is following present perfect. We need both to be in same form.

(B) had explored several alternatives, which include complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found
--- Here, the sentence uses Past Perfect in start and then shifts to present perfect. This does not reflect the intended meaning.

(C) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not found
--- Here, did and explored are parallel. But, did is not followed by the correct verb i.e. find. Did takes the base form.

(D) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found

---Seems acceptable. No reason to discard it as such. Tenses are parallel.

(E) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not find
--- Here, did uses the correct form but it is not parallel with the starting, that is, present perfect.

Based on above reasoning, I would go with D.

(A) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found

(B) had explored several alternatives, which include complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found

(C) explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not found

(D) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but has not found

(E) has explored several alternatives, including complete and partial liquidation of assets, but did not find

Official Explanation:

(A) The restructuring agency has done two things which need to be placed in the same tense. Explored in the simple past tense is not consistent with has not found in the present perfect tense. You need to go with the simple past tense did not find to make this correct.

(B) The past perfect tense had explored is not consistent with the present perfect tense has not found.

(C) Did not found is an incorrect phrase—you need the base form of the verb after did not, that is, find and not found (which itself is in the simple past tense).

(D) The correct answer; places both the actions in the present perfect tense.

(E) The present perfect has explored is not consistent with the simple past tense did not find.

Present perfect tense is used when an action started in the past and ended in the past but its effect is still there. Here ,"exploration of alternatives" and "finding of feasible solutions " started and ended in the past but their effects are still there. Hence , we should use present perfect tense for both the actions.
D is the correct answer.
