Option E highlighted portion above needs to be parallel as well modifier for scientist to be used correctly.
the portion " scientists attempting to understand the reasons for climatic changes." incorrectly specifies the group of identified scientists only involved to understand the challenge,which certainly distorts the meaning of sentence
