1. Engineering had both the smallest number and the smallest proportion of students who graduated within 6 years.

=> least proportion of total graduates who graduated within 6 years = 35.4 (engineering)

2. Business is the discipline for which the ratio of the number of students who graduated within 6 years to the number of students who did not is closest to 1.
=> Number of students who graduated within 6 years = 1410
=> Number of students who did not graduated within 6 years = 1403
=> Proportion = 1410/1403 = 1.004 {TRUE}

3. The discipline having the largest number of students who graduated within 6 years also has the largest number of students who did not graduate within 6 years.
=> Largest number of students who graduated within 6 years = 1619 (Humanities)
=> Largest number of students who did not graduate within 6 years = 1747 (Humanities)

1)Yes,since the number of Engineering students who graduated within 6 years = 367- least,and
the proportion of students who graduated within 6 years = 35.4% - least.

2)Yes,since for business,the number of students,who graduated within 6 years=1410,while those who didn't =1403,so the ratio is 1410/1403=1.004,while for other streams the ratio is either less than 1 or greater than 1

3)Yes, Humanities tops the chart in both the number of students who graduated in 6 years and those who didn't in 6 years

­I am not sure why we would need to use the calculator. For which part? And why would we even need to ballpark? We will simply sort the tables appropriately to get all the answers in seconds.

to calculate the second part of this statement ,how would we proceed ? this looks fairly simple but there are questions where values are close and we would need calculator

- Sort by 'Number who graduated within 6 years.' At the top comes Engineering. Done.
