Hey there,
HEC's MSc is an awesome program - good choice! From a French perspective - they teach in English so you'll definitely get to practice your French but breathe easy that classes will be easy to understand. Ok, so let's talk about you.
Here's what I like
- Your nationality - only 8% of HEC students come from the Americas - that makes you pretty valuable my friend
- Your work is interesting and you work for a well known firm
- You speak some French so it's not like you're coming out of left field with your application
- Solid undergraduate with strong performance
Here's the eh parts:
- Your GMAT is rough overall but it's the quant that concerns me - schools really care about the quant score. That said, students from Latin & South America tend to score a bit lower on the test simply because standardized testing isn't really the norm. So they'll understand but it IS below the median by a significant margin
So here's what I think you should do - start working on your apps. Your pros outweigh the con. In parallel, try to retake the test. If you do badly, you can cancel the score. But if you improve your score, even a little bit, that'll help!
