Do we require to waste time on calculations, when approximation can help.
We know there are 3 circles, so surely the area of triangle will be 3 times the area of one circle. Rather, we can say that the area of triangle not covered by the three circles too should make up another circle, so 1:4 nearly.
A. \(π : (6+4√3)= (3.14):(6+4*1.7)=3.14:12.8 ~ 1:4\)…..A probable answer.
B. \(π : (6+2√3) = (3.14):(6+2*1.7)=3.14:9.4 \), which is just less than 1:3.
All other options, as per GMAT question, will give ratios further lesser than B or 1:3
(All options are in a certain order, either ascending or descending.
