I have been preparing for the gmat for about a year now. I started off last year using
Magoosh and their 3 month study guide and also had a course at a local univeristy using the
OG.
Unfortunatelly it did not workout well for me even after using
magoosh and following the course. Took practice tests and it did not look well for me. For the offcial exam I scored 310 Q13 and V16 in October 2018.
After that I worked through the
OG again and used the online environment to practice. And took another practice test with a bit improvement that time.
I took the official test again at the end of Decemeber 2018. Score 370 Q22 V20.
The following weeks or so I had little time to waste I read the manhattan strategy guides and made a summary of it. And everyday I practiced questions from the
OG, the Quant review and Verbal review. I didnt even go over the questions I had wrong, I just memorised the right answers. Weird enough I made the most improvement out of this. The third time I took the test was at the beginning of January score 450 Q29 V22.
I did not make the deadline, so I took a break for 2 months. In March I started to work through the
OG again, this time with an
Error log. Made less mistakes and I had the feeling things were going better after a while. So in may I took a practice test with a score of 380 and I was shocked. After that practice test I was sure I needed some private tutoring. So I took the private tutoring, but the tutor was not able to help me good enough... At the end of july I gave the test another shot with a score 430 Q27 V23, so no improvement...
To be honest I am a bit hopeless now. I have spent so much money and time on it. I dont even know what to do. One thing is sure my gameplan sucks and I need a good study plan. Deadline is at the end of January 2020. However I dont even know where to start now... I hope someone can help..
