The ratio 2 to 1/3 is equal to the ratio

(A) 6 to 1
(B) 5 to 1
(e) 3 to 2
(D) 2 to 3
(E) 1 to 6

When setting up ratios, we can set up a ratio in fraction form. For example, if we were told the ratio of a to b is 1 to 2, we could say: a/b = ½.

Since we are given the ratio of 2 to 1/3, we can write this as:

2/(1/3)

We simplify this complex fraction by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by 3, obtaining:

(2 x 3)/1 = 6/1

Thus, the equivalent ratio is 6 to 1.

Answer: A

\(2\) : \(\frac{1}{3}\)

Multiply both sides by 3

\(2*3\) : \(\frac{1}{3}*3\)

=> 6 : 1

Hence answer will be (A)

The ratio is 2: 1/3
We can also write it as:
2/(1/3) interpreted as 2 divided by 1/3
Now if we change the division sign, the fraction coming after (/) will also reverse
2*(3/1)

Since our denominator is 1, we can safely eliminate choices C, D and E here.

Out of A and B, we can also eliminate B because its numerator is 5 which is a prime number with exactly 2 factors 1 & 5.

2*3 = 6/1 or 6:1

The answer choice is A.
