I received an email requesting the interview. Someone had just asked what my "status" was within the application itself. I am seeing the updated status right when I sign on.

My status also says submitted on application check page, but on GIAC page it says
"Our records indicate that we don't have an active admission application on file for you. If you recently submitted an application for admission, continue to check this site. It can take a few days for your information to show up in our records."

I hope it just means that they haven't started reviewing my application but they have everything from me.

Similar story here, but I interviewed in mid-December. I will wait until the end of January before I contact the school. That is when the second wave of admits came out last year.

Same story here - applied 10/28, interviewed 11/28, and nothing since. I'm about to accept an offer from another school before even hearing back from UT...pretty frustrating..

I didn't want to be "that guy" who calls and harasses the admissions office...however, at this point (10+ weeks), I wouldn't blame anyone for doing that..

I just got my interview invitation last week.

Regarding application status, I've been talking on the phone with the admissions office and GAIC today. The information I got was that if any materials (GMAT, transcripts, or even application fees) that you have sent a while ago (weeks) did not reflect as received or paid on the status page, don't worry as this is normal since all the offices are pretty backlogged right now and it'll take weeks before they can confirm.

It will not affect your application since you have done your part. Hope this information helps if you're nervous or freaking out.

Am I crazy or did they say they usually let people know 4-6 weeks after interviewing? If so, it seems like simply calling them well after that to check in doesn't make you that guy. In fact, I can almost promise if you're about to accept another school's offer and you've given them adequate time, they'd rather hear about it than not.
